Healing Through Presence

I practice with a trauma-informed lens, viewing our work as a collaborative partnership. I believe that fostering an honest, gentle, and reliable connection is vital in creating a safe, non-judgemental space where every emotion and lived experience can be respected. My aim is to walk alongside you to understand your specific world and the personal meanings you hold.
As a systemic psychotherapist, I am curious about how your past experiences and relationships, along with the wider stresses of your current environment, shape the challenges you face today. Together, we will explore these connections to find a way forward that feels right for you.
My approach integrates various systemic models, blending clinical knowledge with deep care for the natural cycles of the mind and body. This offers a grounded path toward emotional balance and lasting well-being.
I am committed to an inclusive practice, consciously reflecting on my own perspectives and welcoming your feedback to ensure you feel truly supported and heard throughout our journey.
About Me

Welcome. I am Ruth, a UKCP-accredited Systemic Family Psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner, also registered with the NMC as a mental health nurse. At Systemic Touchstone Therapies, I provide a calm and reassuring space for individuals, couples, and families across the UK, offering all sessions through a secure online platform.
My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, systemic approach, where we look together at the wider patterns and relationships in your life. Alongside my private practice—born from a desire to foster balance for my own family—I continue to serve within the NHS. I have experience supporting those navigating neurodiversity, relationship distress, and mental health journeys including eating disorders, personality disorders and trauma. I am here to work collaboratively with you, ensuring that even when things feel overwhelming, you have a safe, grounded, and non-judgemental place to find your way forward.
I belong to both the neurodivergent and LGBTQI+ communities, and I warmly welcome people of all backgrounds and identities. My goal is to work alongside you to adapt our sessions to your unique needs, ensuring you feel respected and understood. Please let me know how I can best support you—we can also explore this together as we build our therapeutic relationship.

Ways of working in Therapy with Me

Individual systemic psychotherapy focuses on understanding patterns within relationships and the wider context of a person’s life. It can support people to make sense of how past and present experiences connect, and how this may shape the way they relate to themselves and others. This can open up new ways of understanding and new possibilities for change.
